First Tee – The Lowcountry is thrilled to announce that our Post Secondary Education Scholarship Program is now accepting applications! This incredible opportunity supports local participants in achieving their educational dreams, no matter their financial status, gender, or race.
Through the game of golf, First Tee – The Lowcountry builds life skills, self-confidence, resilience, and the strength to tackle life’s challenges. This scholarship extends that mission by helping students pursue higher education. The scholarship will be awarded as an annual grant of $5,000 renewable for a maximum of 4 years. The award is to be used for the recipient’s tuition, fees, books, room, board and any other direct educational expenses . The scholarship may be used at other educational opportunities in addition to a traditional 4- year college.
Eligibility Criteria:
Be a current or former First Tee – The Lowcountry participant who embodies the Nine Core Values and participated in Life Skills classes.
A high school senior graduating from Beaufort or Jasper County or a current post secondary student.
Accepted to a 2- or 4-year degree program.
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA on the SC Uniform Grading Scale (or equivalent).
Engaged in community service, including mentoring younger First Tee participants.
