Dear Friends of First Tee – The Lowcountry,
Since our construction completion in 2016 and grand opening in April of 2017, each of you in your own way has helped to build the success that we enjoy today. From our Founding Donors who contributed time and money to build our Facility, to those who continue to so generously donate today, to those attending our classes, banquets and tournaments – thank you for your support. To those that have helped by volunteering in our youth classes, in our office, on our mowers and at our events, we could not exist without you. Thank you all for your commitment and generosity!
Please take a moment to celebrate your role with us by taking in some of the photos and words below.
Sincerely,
Your Chapter Board and Staff
First Tee – The Lowcountry
Our Life Skills Classes are now held at up to seven different facilities across Hilton Head, Bluffton, Hardeeville, Ridgeland, and the Beaufort area each season – many thanks to our partner courses!
The children reached in our Life Skills Classes has more than doubled from 2017 to 2019, and we have now reached our goal of more than 500 unique participants!
The National Schools Program is now active in 22 different schools throughout the Lowcountry, impacting nearly 14,000 children!
Our par 3 Golf Course and driving range continue to host not only our class participants, but an ever growing number of residents and visitors who make a small donation to utilize the facility. We have had many family events and reunions!
The 9-hole Disc Golf Course is a popular draw and is well represented on social media via postings from our many players.
This open play contributes to our funding and allows us to award a growing number of scholarships to Life Skills Class participants each year.
Our calendar of annual events has become large and successful – most events have been sellouts!

“When we were first just dreaming of having a facility like we have now, the opportunity to impact kid’s lives in this way was the drive behind all of our hard work. It is so wonderful to see our dream unfold. Children need great role models like you (Coach Jim) in their lives -more than ever before!” -Kim.
“Dear Coach Jim,
I can’t tell you how thankful I am for the clubs you gave me! I couldn’t have asked for them at a better time too. They helped me so much in the tournament (84, 85)! You have helped me tremendously! See you soon! -Hudson” (age 14)
